Unannounced Project - Staff VFX Artist

Bungie is looking to you to help us bring VFX to the next level in a new unannounced title. Are you excited to help bring gameplay to life? As a Staff VFX artist, your responsibilities will vary from working with design and art leads, helping mentor other artists, and helping define the VFX art style. Utilizing proprietary tools, you’ll embellish the worlds, characters, and gameplay with VFX. Collaboration is key, and every task is a great opportunity to get to know about the people you work with all while creating amazing content that will delight players around the world.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Focus on highly tuned VFX content that is built in a thoughtful and reusable way
- Create high quality content as part of a VFX team that balances the visual goals of the projects with the performance demands of the game through all phases of production
- Assist with constructive feedback sessions in art content reviews with VFX artists
- Strive to optimize and enhance an effective VFX pipeline alongside Engineers while identifying workflow improvements, looking for opportunities to bring high levels of automation
- Work with Test and production to triage bugs in your area when closing milestones and projects
- Support VFX Lead and production to estimate project deliverables and escalate project risks
- Collaborate with the Design Leads, Art Leads, and Art Direction to develop visual goals for VFX content expectations
- Conduct frequent syncs with Design to align the artistic experience with gameplay
- Assist with maintaining project documentation for VFX direction and pipeline technology
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Full knowledge and experience in real time VFX, node-based shaders, and core principles of VFX content creation development cycle
- Possess excellent written and oral communication skills
- Outstanding ability to problem-solve and drive creative solutions
- Be task driven, self-motivated, and proactive
- Great attention to detail and maintain a cohesive art style
- Some understanding of Vector math and application in VFX shaders
NICE-TO-HAVE-SKILLS
- Experience with Unreal Engine 4, 5, Unity3D or other modern development toolsets
- Experience with and passion for competitive games
- Animation background
- Experience with Houdini, Embergen, or Substance Designer
