What impact will you have as a UX Lead at Timbre
- Being our first UX hire, you’ll bring strategy and direction to our department as we start delivering assets into the game
- Create and evolve engaging content and player flows
- Collaborating with the design team to set priorities and create design solutions that balance player experience and business goals within technical constraints
- Drive and communicate a design process and methodologies that support player-first game development
- Act as champion and advocate for usability and accessibility
- Create and constantly optimize UX artifacts (experience maps, flows, mock-ups, wireframes, prototypes) to guide development and research
- Craft clear written communication, allowing players to intuitively dive into our worlds, including tone of voice, naming conventions, taxonomy, and text strings
- Define problems and lead solutions that are rooted in player data
- Drive an innovative game experience from prototype to live-ops
- Support the creation and management of design systems and style guide
- Conduct user research interviews, usability tests and session design docs
- Create walkthroughs for FTUE & tutorials
- Optimize localization and culturalization
- Work with the data team to formulate, execute & document A/B tests
- Implement & import assets into Unity for proper screen layouts
Your track record might include
- A portfolio of delivered digital projects and games that showcase extensive experience in crafting imaginative and immersive experiences for players
- Extensive knowledge of usability principles and techniques, interaction design and design patterns
- An evolving ability to translate qualitative and quantitative player data into design solutions and design strategy
- Experience collecting feedback through rapid iterative prototyping (click through flows, storyboard, etc)
- Mastery of design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Flinto, etc
- 4+ years of experience (or equivalent) in interaction design, game design, product design, or related field
- Experience working with a team where people come first and culture isn’t defined by a cheesy poster on the wall.

We’re excited to build a ‘playoff ready’ studio that is centred on creativity, humour and diversity.
