UX/UI Lead, Alexa AI SAIF

Job summary
Amazon Alexa Secure AI Foundation (SAIF) is looking for a UI/UX lead to work closely with our product and engineering team to bring design thinking to innovate and help Alexa solve hard AI/ML problems.

Job Description
As the UI/UX lead you will be responsible for setting the design and UX direction of Alexa's AI platform. You will own defining, executing and delivering a delightful user experience to our modelers, engineers, and data scientists who depend on the Alexa AI platform to build the next generation AI models.

This role is inherently cross-functional -- you will work closely with engineering, science, modeling, and executive teams to set UX strategy, launch features, drive adoption, and develop and grow business opportunities for Amazon. A successful candidate will be fiercely focused on end-user experience, identifying and helping to resolve known and unknown areas of UX friction, able to effectively influence up and across the organization, and help imbue design thinking principles into enterprise product development.

Key job responsibilities
Responsibilities:
· Maintain and herald the vision for Alexa Platform's UX and the UX style guide
· Design, layout, and flow of user interface
· Plan and conduct user research and competitor analysis
· Interpret data and qualitative feedback
· Create user stories, personas, and storyboards
· Determine information architecture and create sitemaps
· Create prototypes and wireframes
· Conduct usability testing
· Own process that takes designs from ideation to implementation
· Receive stakeholders buyoff on designs at multiple phases.
· Ensure final implementation of all features of the user experience are in compliance with the specifications
· Provide programmers with clear speci­fications of UI/UX components

Basic Qualifications

· 7+ years of relevant experience (UX Design or UI Design)
· Experience in driving design thinking
· Experience with designing enterprise products

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience innovating and designing quality user experiences;
· Strong communication and problem solving skills
· Proven ability to get hands on in toolsets and author content directly to establish pipeline or set quality bar for UX team.
· Experience conducting or collaborating on Usability Tests, building user tasks and paper prototypes, and evaluating results to improve UX Ability to give clear and direction UI guidance
· Experience with design documentation process, effort estimation and high level project planning
· Knowledge of industry tools such as Sketch, InVision, Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Zeplin and OmniGraffle
· Business know-how: Understanding of business metrics and the ability to translate company goals and objectives into digital experiences
