UX Research Intern
San Diego, CA
The San Diego Studio UX Research Team works to ensure that all video game experiences being developed, meet and exceed gamer's wants and needs. This is done in partnership with gamers, through an ongoing, iterative process of researching and editing pre-launched game designs throughout the development cycle. The team specifically works on MLB The Show.
Responsibilities:
- Assists research team in conducting research projects, under the direction of the manager, including all stages of research, from planning to execution
- Assists in executing research, using a variety of methods, including, but not limited to: usability testing, appeal testing, surveys, exploratory research, and field studies
- Assists in creating research study guides, reports and surveys
- Assists in maintaining the research lab, to include make sure its stocked with research material, and in working order
- Assists in conducting brainstorming sessions with development teams to assist in the design process
- Assists in building/ managing research participant database
Qualifications:
- Rising senior, projected to graduate in 2024
- Currently enrolled in an accredited university, pursuing a Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Human Factors, Psychology, Anthropology, Cognitive Science or related field
- Interested in a career in user experience research
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Strong interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and collaboration skills
- An interest in games, gamers and gaming
- Deep understanding and knowledge of at least one of the following sports: Baseball, Football, Basketball, Softball and/or Soccer
- Openness to learning new research approaches
