UX Director

GreenPark is looking for an energetic and inspiring UX Director to help build our flagship mobile sports social networking app, website and Web 3.0 offerings. Our UX Director will innovate through engaging research, insights, prototypes, and leadership for cutting-edge digital products and experiences that work across the social ecosystem we are creating. You will be responsible for helping define our unique offerings at the early stages of the lifecycle through impactful UX research and actualizing them into insightful user journeys, prototypes, specifications, and converting abstract concepts into engaging experiences. You will be successful in this role by using your advanced knowledge of user-experience principles, psychology, information architecture, and systems design to establish our best practices for UX Design working closely with key stakeholders in the Product and Community teams to help identify requirements and agree upon the best UX solutions to support our products’ features.
About The Role
- Deep curiosity, research, and mining for key insights into the psychology of fandom and how the experiences we create can purposefully elevate their passion and participation
- Synthesis of UX approach, theory, and rationale into practical, testable ideas
- Design and prototyping focused on journeys and clearly defined outcomes that validate or invalidate those hypotheses
- Work with key stakeholders to agree upon an overall UX design approach to support all experience features across flagship experiences and broader GreenPark social ecosystem
- Define, document, and evangelize UX best practices to the organization as a whole
- Craft thoughtful wireframes, flow diagrams, visual mockups, and interactive prototypes. You will provide feedback on style guides, implementation, and partner with user testing to help iterate on the results
- Partner with the UI Art Lead and Art Director to bring to life the best of form + function
- Work closely with Creative Leads and Sound Director to set functional, visual, and audio design for the interaction of game systems (menus, UI, feedback systems, etc.)
- Partner closely with UI art teams to feedback on menu guides
- Partner with User Testing to determine the effectiveness of UX implementation
Who You Are
- 5+ years experience working as a User Experience designer
- An energetic, enthusiastic problem solver that inspires others and draws from personal successes and failures balanced with a determined curiosity for the uncharted
- A veteran in the creation and design of interfaces and user experience with a focus on social and mobile platforms - XR experience is a plus
- 3+ AAA mobile or social products shipped with a Lead UX Designer or Director title
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment and stays on top of initiatives driving them proactively to the finish line
- Ability to build relationships with senior studio creatives and lead by influence
- Ability to work well in a fluid, changing environment as creative challenges evolve
- A process-driven leader with a strong comprehension of psychology and game theory
- A keen eye for the artistic, visual style, and unobtrusive interfaces
- Problem-solver who understands the importance of clear communication
- Expert documentation skills for wireframes and flow diagrams
- Ability to directly think-by-making through functional prototypes
- Experience with prototyping tools like ProtoPie, Proto.io, Figma
- Experience working with Unity
- Leadership ability with strong organizational skills
- A keen interest in staying on top of industry trends
