Job Description
Ubisoft Connect is the ecosystem of player services for Ubisoft games across all platforms. It aims at giving the best environment for all players to enjoy their games and connect with each other on any device.
As a User Experience Designer at Ubisoft connect you’ll be improving the ease of use in our product and creating the best user experience by exploring varying and innovative approaches to solving issues encountered by users. You have a passion for identifying the needs of our users. From idea to implementation, you will play a key role in delivering a high-quality end result.
You will join a multi-disciplinary team where everyone is willing to expand their knowledge and are encouraged to continue learning new things, working closely with developers, our games lab and testers to name a few. The team is characterized by passion, comradery and the love for PC gaming. We can offer you a dynamic, fun environment with a friendly atmosphere and a lot of creative colleagues.

Responsibilities
- Understanding product specifications and user psychology
- Identifying design problems and suggesting elegant solutions
- Conceptualizing original ideas that bring consistency, simplicity, and user friendliness to the product
- Continuously optimize user experience, usability, and accessibility of the client by iterating your designs based on user research, quantitative data and user tests
- Collaborating closely with other teams and stakeholders
- Defining the right interaction model and evaluate its success
- Developing wireframes and prototypes around customer needs
- Finding creative ways to solve UX problems (e.g. usability, findability)
- Working with UI designers to implement attractive designs
- Communicating design ideas and prototypes to developers
- Keeping abreast of competitor products and industry trends
Qualifications
You as a person
You have the ability of working autonomously within your field, whilst at the same time knowing the benefits of a multidisciplinary team. You’re able to work utilizing a dynamic and iterative process that you can integrate into your workflows. You're used to presenting and communicating about your work and findings, which enables you to clearly share your results, no matter the audience or target. You're willing to take risks, and always see the positive in any challenge, whilst at the same time remain open to feedback to adapt and grow.
Besides the above we’re looking for someone aligned with our core values and the following skills and experience:
- You must provide a relevant portfolio with UX Design examples
- Proven working experience as a UX designer
- A clear understanding of the importance of user-centered design and design thinking
- Proficient with industry standard prototyping tools
- Problem solving aptitude
- Cross-platform experience working with designing for multiple platforms
- Knowledge about Accessibility requirements (WCAG, CVAA)
