Finance and Accounting at Epic

Our Finance and Accounting teams build the financial infrastructure to scale our growing company. We work closely with teams across the company, international subsidiaries, as well as with external partners to ensure a world-class finance organization. Our team contains experts from fields like tax, treasury, purchasing, FP&A, and more.

What you’ll do

Based within our International Finance Team, located in Lucerne, Switzerland, we’re looking for a UK Payroll Clerk (based in Lucerne) to support our International Payroll function. As our UK Payroll Clerk you will work for our International Payroll Administrator and ensure the correct management of our Payroll Platform and the monthly Input & Output for the UK.

In addition to this, you will be responsible for the monthly UK GL File for Finance and work with our Subsidiary Accountants on reconciling the Cashbook and Accounts. You will also be responsible for overviewing the UK pension administration and reconcile this to payroll. Additional to working with the International Payroll Administrator you will support our tax and legal department in payroll matters for UK audits (HMRC). You will collaborate with our Accountants and Team to identify and shape our processes and policies to ensure that we are appropriately controlling and report our payroll performance to HQ.

In this role, you will

• Administer our UK Payroll Platform and manage monthly Input and Output
• Collate and populate excel templates with any changes
• Ensure the legislative responsibilities to comply with HMRC and other governing bodies are met
• Check and validate the results of the calculated payroll to ensure accuracy
• Assists internal and external Auditors with queries regarding payroll processes and controls
• Makes sure that monthly and yearly payments and reports required by 3rd parties and HMRC are processed and reconciled
• Creates and reports the Annual PSA and P11D Input
• Responds to queries from employees, HMRC and the Business on payroll matters
• Assists to prepare the Monthly GL File for Finance and works with the International Payroll Manager/Administrator and Accountants on reconciliation of accounts

What we’re looking for

• 2 years minimum payroll experience
• Knowledge and understanding of PAYE tax and N.I.
• Experience of computer-based payroll systems and the ability to give advice, guidance and training on their use
• Confident to accurately prepare and check numerical data, including attention to detail and confidence in query resolution
• Educated to GSCE including English and Maths at grade ‘C’; or above
• CIPP qualified (desirable)
