Role
Our team mission is to deliver a fresh and unique mobile experience on the market for a non-gamer audience, by identifying and creating our own segment where we can be the leaders with the capabilities of Voodoo.
Your role as the UI/UX designer will be to ensure the experience designed is as fluid as possible and adapted to our target audience. You will support the holistic game vision partnering with designers and artists.
Challenges
- Own and maintain the UI style guide and documentation
- Build a strong partnership with the artist and designer to align the UI with the game vision
- Take reference from UI/UX from the market or mobile applications
- Iterate rapidly concepts & wireframes, within a week
- Use fast prototyping and iterative design techniques
- Manage UI/UX asset delivery pipelines
- Create and implement prefabs in Unity
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of mobile/gaming UI aesthetics and trends
- Deconstruct successful game cases and features and understand why they work for that game
- Help fine-tune game balancing, pacing and feeling
- Pitch and implement new game ideas, vision and features to the team
- Benchmark the market to stay on top of new trends
- Understand of models and tools to analyse game play and user behavior
Must have
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in User Interface design
- Experience creating assets and styles for User Interfaces on at least one published game, mobile preferred
- Portfolio must showcase relevant and contemporary artistry and experience
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.) and visual prototyping tools...
- Experience working closely with a cross-functional team of designers, software engineers, product managers, and business owners through all product development phases
- Production experience of Unity
- At least one mobile game from pre-production to ship, as an on-site member of a development team
- Fluent in English and French
