Relic is an award-winning developer of genre-defining strategy games including Homeworld, Company of Heroes, and Age of Empires IV. We have delivered rich interactive experiences for over 25 years, and we’re proud to continue making games that bring joy to our players.

We offer employees the flexibility to do what they love, including the ability to work fully remote from home or create a hybrid schedule that fits your needs.

We're looking for a UI Technical Artist to join our studio in beautiful Vancouver. You will own the front-end implementation that brings the UI designs to life in Company of Heroes 3. You’ll impact every aspect of the game – from front screens into the game through making it engaging for our players. As this is a role that will work with our proprietary tools, we’re looking for someone who enjoys learning new technologies and has a passion for problem-solving.

As a UI Technical Artist, you will…

You’re a great fit if you have…

It’s a bonus if you have…

Are you game? We’d like to hear from you!

If your experience looks a little different from what we've identified but you're excited about the role, please feel free to get in touch - we'd love to learn more about you and see if you could be a great fit. We are proud to be an equal opportunity employer and value our diverse workplace. We strongly encourage applications from women, Indigenous and racialized peoples, LGBTQ2S+ individuals, and people with disabilities.

Please apply through our careers page (www.relic.com) and we will be in touch shortly to let you know about the next steps.

Why join Relic?

Relic offers an extended benefits package, RRSP/DPSP matching program (subject to eligibility requirements), local business discounts, and annual paid holiday studio closure. We put a huge priority on mental and physical wellbeing: each Relican has access to an annual Health and Wellness Spending Account, as well as an Employee and Family Assistance Program providing access to resources and support around mental health, financial wellbeing, family care, elder care, and more. We believe that your home office should be just as comfortable as our studio, and we provide each new hire with a Work From Home Allowance to upgrade your at-home setup. For designated roles, relocation and immigration support may be available.

Our studio has a culture of kindness, transparency, and growth. We value innovation, and we celebrate and build on each other’s great ideas so that every title we deliver reflects the talents and dedication of our whole team. We believe that making video games is a privilege, and we're at our best when working alongside people who care about each other as much as the games we create.

Being part of the SEGA family enables us to build on our legacy of innovation. We have the best of two worlds: the autonomous, entrepreneurial spirit of an indie developer, combined with the extensive reach and support of a large publisher.

Inclusivity at Relic

Relic is an environment of empathy, respect, and inclusivity. Our studio is made up of people with a wide variety of backgrounds and life experiences because it makes us better, and helps our games tell stories to our whole audience, and not just a select few. Everyone has a role to play in making Relic a place where people can speak openly, do what they love, and bring their best self to work. We are committed to encouraging curiosity, providing support, and meeting each Relican where they are.
