UI Programmer /Junior to Intermediate/

Job Description
The UI Programmer will be responsible for implementing pieces of in-game user interface and menus. She/he will undertake solving complex programming problems and debugging complex defects. Her/his expertise should be used to anticipate technical problems and provide robust solutions.
Job Responsibilities
- Implement new user interface features and modify existing ones in the game according to game design and art intentions
- Progressively integrate development into the shared code base and participate in code reviews
- Identify missing details in feature requests and break down the tasks into parts that can be implemented and tested
- Build prototypes of UI features for the game and build upon them based on feedback and improvement requests
- Debug defects of moderate complexity and ensure that problems are fully solved
- Optimize user interface code so that it can be run efficiently on game consoles
- Interact and collaborate with all internal departments involved in the game development process
Qualifications
- Enthusiasm and desire to work in the game development industry
- Strong interest in user interface paradigms, frameworks and related technologies
- Ability and desire to work in creative and collaborative teams
- 1+ years of experience in C++ programming
- Solid knowledge of data structures and algorithms
- Ability to write clear, concise code & document implemented features
- Write modular and reusable code that is scalable and flexible to changes
- Ability to manage their own time and work within deadlines
- Ability to follow and respect coding standards and methodologies in place
- Basic knowledge of Linear Algebra and Geometry
- Excellent English and communication skills
Will be considered an advantage
- Basic knowledge of a 3D graphics API (DirectX, OpenGL, etc.)
- Experience with commercial large scale game engines
- Experience with scripting languages or visual scripting tools
- Experience with version control software
- Experience in shipping AAA titles is a plus
- Knowledge of modern C++ standards
