UI Engineer
We believe that some of our best memories come from shared experiences with friends. As we begin crafting how to bring people together in positive ways, we are looking for a talented UI software engineer who is excited to explore new ground. We are in the early days of our studio and there’s a unique opportunity to have an impact on what we are making and how we go about making it. We know our games will be at their best when a variety of voices, identities, and perspectives go into their creation, so come join us!
We are focused on staying nimble and therefore highly value generalists who can navigate a variety of engineering challenges. While your primary focus will be helping to craft the user interface that players will experience, you’ll also have the opportunity to work on other areas of the game outside of UI that can have a positive impact on the team and game.
What you’ll do:
- Collaborate with designers, engineers, and artists to establish a shared vision for the user experience
- Implement user interface based on established designs
- Help gather feedback and iterate on implemented UI
- Craft processes or tools that help content creators build game UI
- Uphold a high quality bar for the UI through debugging and profiling of the game UI
- Contribute to the improvement of underlying UI systems
What you’ll need:
- Experience developing UI for games using the Unity engine
- Solid background in C# and .NET
- Experience developing across multiple platforms including mobile and PC or console
- Experience with source control systems such as Git or Perforce
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively in a highly collaborative environment
Bonus if you have it:
- Experience dealing with localization / internationalization of UI
- Experience processing, importing, and implementing UI art assets
- Experience in multiple different UI frameworks (e.g. web, Unity, Unreal, native mobile UI toolkits, etc)
