UI Designer

Carry1st is the leading publisher of mobile games in Africa. We work with studios across the globe to level up their games and scale in dynamic, frontier markets. In addition, Carry1st has built a proprietary payments engine, Pay1st, and ecommerce platform, the Carry1st Shop, which allows customers to pay for digital content leveraging local payment methods.

As UI Designer you’ll be responsible for creating state of the art User Interface design for Carry1st Shop.

You’ll work closely with Design team; Product managers and engineers develop beautiful and consistent User-Interfaces.

Requirements

You will...

● Collaborate with Product Management, UX Lead and engineers, to create and implement creative product direction, graphics, and UIs
● Execute all visual design stages, from concept to final UI hand-off
● Present designs and important milestone deliverables to peers and executive-level stakeholders
● Lead the design QA & ensure pixel perfect designs are shipped to users
● Continually keep yourself and your design team updated with the latest changes in the industry’s standards.

What makes you a great candidate?

● 2 to 4 years of experience in visual design; including typography, desktop/mobile UI, colour, layout, iconography, animations and aesthetic sensibility
● Strong portfolio of custom UIs and graphics (the candidate is encouraged to present a few case studies they've worked on)
● Proficiency in Figma/ Adobe Illustrator is required
● Previous experience working on desktop, mobile web & native apps is a must

Bonus:

● Good understanding of UX principles is a plus
● HTML and CSS understanding is considered a plus
● Previous experience in building design systems will be a plus
● Previous experience with animations is a plus
