Technical Artist

KIXEYE is seeking a Technical Artist to work across our existing and new titles. The ideal candidate will have a versatile skill set amongst a range of development software, and a thorough understanding of the technical principles of game development as a 3D, VFX and UI artist.
You must be able to communicate effectively with remote and local game Engineering, Design, Art and QA departments, and have a passion to drive constant improvement in quality bar, tools and efficiency of workflows and game assets.
Required Experience and Skills:
- Strong knowledge of game engines, Unity in particular
- Proficient in 3Ds Max, Maya, and the Adobe Creative Suite software
- Experience creating complex shaders, lighting solutions, etc
- Ability to write action scripts in Photoshop, Unity, etc
- Design pipelines for asset implementation and optimization for platform
- Desire to receive constructive feedback for constant improvement
- Ability to think creatively to resolve technical challenges and limitations
- Multi-task successfully and easily adapt to change
- Strong English communication skills
Responsibilities:
- Understand, maintain and teach art pipelines across all existing live games
- Work with Graphics Engineer and Art Director to define art pipelines for new mobile titles
- Create texture shaders for units and environments on new and existing titles
- Implement and support creatives with UI asset creation and implementation
- Implement and support creatives with optimizations for 3D assets and textures ingame
- Propose standardizations for art pipelines across disciplines and titles to simplify workflows
- Improve artist tools and provide technical support to the entire team when necessary
- Demo new pipelines, tools, etc to discipline teams and execs
- Create supporting documentation for workflows and processes
