UI Artist

Expansive Worlds is a creative division of Avalanche Studios Group and a leading developer and publisher of outdoor games. Since 2009, Expansive Worlds has been devoted to delivering highly immersive outdoor gaming experiences for millions of players and best known for the long-standing and successful theHunter franchise.
The Position
The division is currently looking for a UI Artist to work on an unannounced title. We are searching for developers who can push the boundaries of UI art, animation and consider issues from numerous angles. The candidate needs to exhibit the ability to take efficient actions to achieve their vision and a fanatical devotion to building assets and animations that are compelling, functional and visually stunning.
Required Qualifications
- Fluent in Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator
- Experience with game UIs on multiple platforms
- Experience in creating dynamic and animating UIs
- Strong knowledge of, and experience with graphic design and typography
- A high-quality portfolio showing creative sensibility and clear execution
- Good communication skills both for understanding and accurately expressing tricky concepts to the wider team.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Adobe After Effects or Animate to generate UI animation
- Some understanding of web design technologies (HTML, Javascript, CSS)
- Experience in frontend/web development
- A knowledge of open-world action games
Responsibilities
- Translating UI/UX design requirements into appealing visual designs.
- Creating a visually compelling UI that compliments the game design, art direction and tone.
- Collaborating with UI/UX design to implement a dynamic, animated, living UI.
