What We Need:
Our Foothill Ranch studio is looking for an experienced UI Artist to contribute to a brand new, exciting unannounced title. In this role, you will apply your traditional art training and knowledge of illustration, graphic design, and computer graphics software to help build a visually compelling and user-friendly interface.
What You Will Do:
- Work closely with a team of UI and Tech Artists to create UI visual design in accordance with the project's artistic direction
- Quickly concept, iterate, and produce assets throughout all stages of development from pre-viz to final game assets
- Collaborate with artists and other dependent departments, as appropriate, throughout the production process
Who Will Be a Great Fit:
- 2+ years experience in creating commercial user interface designs, ideally within the video game industry
- Experience working in game engines (Unreal, Unity, or other propriety engines), design toolsets and production pipelines
- Ability to work with industry standard 2D graphics applications and prototyping tools used in UI (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)
- Excellent graphic design skills (design, layout, and typography)
- Awareness of current trends in visual communication and how best to adapt those trends
- Ability to learn the latest software, tools, and technologies
- Proven ability to work with a high degree of self-direction
- Ability to take feedback well, and collaborate with peers
- Shipped at least one AAA console project
- Experience in creating motion graphics
- Experience with Perforce
- Love for games (not just ours!)
