Trainee VFX Artist

Our multi-award winning Total War team is in search of a Trainee VFX Artist to join our team.
As a Trainee, you will develop your vfx skills on our current Total War projects with the opportunity to gain insight on content from beginning to completion.
The traineeships will run for one year onsite at our studio in Horsham, West Sussex.

Key Responsibilities
You will create in-game VFX from concept to polished. Working closely with your supervisor, you will learn to work within set time constraints and to hit the quality benchmark. You will implement feedback as appropriate.
Knowledge, Skill and Experience
Essential
- A show reel showing some FX work
- 3d modelling, texturing skills in 3ds Max/Maya or similar
- Team player with positive, can-do attitude
- Some experience with particle simulation (Fume FX/Houdini/ similar)
Desirable
- 2d texture/sprite creation (Adobe Photoshop/ Substance or similar)
- Practical experience working in a game engine such as Unreal/Unity
- Understanding of the interplay between game mechanics and visual effects.
- A keen eye for detail and ability to problem solve
The traineeships will run for one year onsite at our studio in Horsham, West Sussex.
These traineeships are paid placements and all applicants must have the Right to Work in the UK.
