Trainee Technical Animator

This is a fantastic opportunity for a graduate level candidate who is looking to support the animation and character art teams with rigging, skinning and other technical animation support, while learning from experienced mentors.

Key Responsibilities
You will support our world class animation team with rigging and skinning, while helping to improve the animation tools. You will collaborate with TA’s across multiple projects. You will use and improve existing workflows and pipelines, and support animators in their use.
Knowledge, Skill and Experience
- You can demonstrate practical rigging and skinning skills.
- You can show development of rigging tools
Essential
- Proficient Maya user
- Some scripting skills
Desirable
- Great understanding of Maya cmds, Pymel
- Working experience with game engines (Unreal, Unity)
- Working experience with Max and Maxscript
- Working experience with Motionbuilder
The traineeship will be for one year onsite at our studio in Horsham, West Sussex.
These traineeships are paid placements and all applicants must have the Right to Work in the UK.
