TRADE MARKETING MANAGER - GERMANY / AUSTRIA / SWITZERLAND
Headquartered in New York City, Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc. is a leading developer, marketer and publisher of interactive entertainment for consumers around the globe. The Company develops and publishes products through its two wholly-owned labels Rockstar Games, Private Division and 2K. Our products are designed for console systems, handheld gaming systems and personal computers, including smartphones and tablets, and are delivered through physical retail, digital download, online platforms and cloud streaming services. Take-Two’s Munich branch is responsible for the company’s business in Germany, Switzerland and Austria.
The Trade Marketing Manager is responsible for the planning and execution of trade marketing activities across all retail channels in the DACH/GSA region in line with 2K’s, Rockstar’s and Private Division´s overall trade marketing and communication strategies. With customer satisfaction as key priority, he/she is the connecting link between the marketing / product management and sales team to ensure achievement of sales and budget objectives. The role is based in the Munich office and reports to the local Sales Directors
Key Responsibilities
- Ideation, planning/budgeting and implementation of all product and brand related in-store activities in close cooperation with the 2K, R* and PD marketing teams
- Work closely with sales and marketing teams to turn the “selling stories” into effective sales tools to present the brands, the products and the marketing initiatives to their customers
- Support the sales planning & forecasting through marketing intelligence research / analysis
- Monitor / summarize the retail in-store landscape and capture trends and feedback from regional sales managers to formulate requirements for product campaigns for sales directors and marketing teams
- Work closely with the marketing teams on creation, approval, production and efficient handling of POS materials (incl. allocation, logistics & distribution)
- Plan and execute sales promotions with a can do approach and work closely with the marketing teams to ensure that all promotions generate the necessary drive
- Establish direct point of contact for customers in the Munich office for all marketing / nonstock inquiries.
- Support the sales managers in executing activities and achieving their sales and budget objectives, while ensuring that the product/brand positioning is properly communicated
- Implement retail staff training
- Plan and execute retail line up events for relevant R*, PD and 2K titles in close cooperation with the local marketing teams
- Visit stores/customers and regional sales managers on a regular level
- Allocation and tracking and analysis of retail spending
Required Skills
- University degree in Marketing or comparable is preferred
- Master and or any other further qualification in Marketing / Trade Marketing is a plus
- A minimum of 3-5 years of trade marketing management experience is beneficial
- Relevant experience in international, modern companies is also advantageous
- Former Experience/background in Sales is beneficial
- Knowledge of marketing and trade marketing activities, tools and techniques
- Knowledge of category management and assortment
- Knowledge of GSA/DACH retail landscape (mass market and traditional trade)
- Knowledge of most important IT tools (incl. MS Office)
- Fluency in spoken and written English
- Structured self-starter with strong organization and communication skills and energetic, business-driven hands-on approach
- Capability in building strategic, multi-level and team work relationship is needed
- Capability in dealing with complexity in a multi-national environment is needed
- Team player
- Ability to work under high pressure and short deadlines
