Job Description
As Director of Total Compensation, you will actively contribute to the Ubisoft Group’s vision for all matters related to compensation, benefits, and health services in the Canadian studios.
Using a holistic approach to global health, you will propose new practices that will improve the performance and well-being of employees. You will be behind the incentives (and we’re not just talking about salary!) that will make employees want to look after themselves and stay at Ubisoft, a good place to work.

What you’ll do
- In this role, you will ensure that you and the Total Compensation team (approximately 10 experienced employees) effectively perform the following tasks:
- Position Ubisoft as an innovative leader when it comes to total compensation practices.
- Build and adapt the total compensation service offering, programs, and processes in order to deliver the expected business results.
- Ensure that the entire organization adheres to and adopts best practices in total compensation.
- Provide expertise in total compensation and all related areas.
- Ensure the administration and management of entities and services related to total compensation (regular annual direct compensation processes; disability and CSST cases; group insurance plan; pension plan; long-term compensation program; gym; external physical, psychological, and financial health providers; etc.).
- Meet with senior management and partners in the various business sectors to implement practices and resources that will adequately meet the company’s business needs.
Qualifications
What you bring
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources, or a related field
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in compensation (with ideally 5 years in a management position)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written in English and French)
- Remarkable adaptability and highly flexible work methods (you are good at anticipating changes and you adjust accordingly)
- The ability to explain your point of view, especially when it’s not popular
- A willingness to innovate to achieve better results
- The autonomy needed to be able to manage several files at the same time
- The ability to delegate and take responsibility
- Integrity that makes you trustworthy
- Ease in dealing with all levels of management in the organization and with external resources
