Tools Support Specialist

Job Description

As an Tool Support Specialist, you will provide/maintain autotest solution to game editor, first-line tool support and access to production tools to productions throughout the project lifecycle. You will use test plans to cover test and analyze the production tools to ensure their integrity and efficiency. You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining automation test solution. You care about quality and collaborate well with others.

·Be responsible for automation test. Design and plan testing activity, develop test cases/scenarios, execute required testing via automation;

·Implement/ Maintain the current test pipeline including test scripts, test templates, automation server, test database, dashboard, etc.

·Ensure first-line tool support for issues encountered by production. Gather steps for reproduction, logs and crash dumps if necessary.

·Monitor the state of incidents and be reactive in the dispatch, follow-up and closure of incidents.

·Keep good communication with the Production Service team at other studios, analyze the requirements and propose solutions.

·Document the work so as to transfer knowledge and enable users (from other crafts) to understand how to use the new systems and functions.

Qualifications

·Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent preferred.

·Minimum 1 year’ experience in software testing, ideally in the video game industry.

·Minimum 1 years Experience with automation test.

·Experience with issue tracking product like Jira.

·Ability to understand the game production pipeline and tools

·Experience with Programming, especially be familiar with Python and C#;

·Ability to work independently or as a team player;

·Strong self-learning ability;

·Good communication skills in both English and Chinese
