Tools Programmer

Oxide Games is currently seeking a Tools Programmer to join our team, working on a new IP AAA game with a first party publisher. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, be able to multitask, and work comfortably with every game system and department.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and support tools for internal production and workflows, as well as create tools for use by the design team which will eventually become player facing modding tools
- Work closely with the art, engineering, and design teams to ensure tools are functioning properly and efficiently
- Support and update existing tools to improve usability based on feedback
- Create and maintain user-friendly interfaces for content creators
- Create and maintain documentation on how the tools operate
Requirements:
- BS in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledgeable in C++
- A client-focused, team player mindset
- Strong communication skills
- Taking requests from design and non-technical people and turning that into usable, easily accessible tools
- Maintaining tools and adding new features quickly and efficiently as requested
- Ensuring the tools are player facing later in development
As a plus:
- Maxscript and Mel familiarity
- C#, and other additional languages, including scripting languages such as Lua and Python
- Experience creating UI widgets for data structures and file formats (such as creating a WYSIWYG editor for XML)
- 2+ years tools programming experience
