Your Mission in Funcom
In this position, you will develop new tools to increase the productivity of the game and content teams, as well as help improve and extend existing tools and backend systems. This could involve working on standalone tools such as our Narrative Tool (to build in-game dialogue) and Text Tool (to localize game content), optimizing Python scripts and writing plugins for the Unreal Editor.
This is a position where the right candidate will have the chance to work end-to-end on exciting projects and new tools to facilitate the development of our in-house games. As a Tools Programmer at Funcom, you will use your experience to improve both the quality and robustness of the code, as well as improve the end-user experiences.
How you can have an impact in your position:
• Develop new tools to increase productivity in the game and content teams
• Improve and extend existing tools and backend systems
• Optimize Python scripts
• Write plugins for the Unreal Editor
We are looking for you to have:
• Experience with Python and C#
• Experience with relational databases (such as PostgreSQL)
• 2+ years of professional programming experience
• Strong communication skills (English is our working language)
• Desire and ability to write clear documentation for end users
In addition, ideally, you might also have:
• Experience with full-stack web development
• Knowledge of C++
• Experience working with Unreal Editor
• Experience with DevOps
• Knowledge of container-based development
