Tools Engineer – New Sci-Fi FPS IP

We have an excellent opportunity for a developer to join the team as a Tools Engineer working on our new Sci-Fi FPS IP at our studio based in Horsham, West Sussex.
The Tools Programmer should proactively look for opportunities to make our development team more efficient and frictionless. The improvements should cover every aspect of development from Content Creation to Programming or even Team Management. The ideal candidate should be able design, implement, deploy and maintain complex pipelines or tools.
You will be crucial in keeping the development team working without blockages, bug free and as efficiently as possible. So, to be successful in this role, you will be forward-thinking, pro-active and autonomous in your problem-solving and communication.
Key Responsibilities
In this role you will be vital to the development and release of major AAA titles.
On a day-to-day basis, you will:
- Be responsible to improve all aspects of our Pipelines and Tools
- Be open, friendly, and approachable with the ability to collaborate and communicate with developers across the team from all disciplines
- Carry out tasks varying from writing Plugins for Unreal Engine code using C++, to creating a tools with C#.
Knowledge, Skill and Experience
Essential
- Solid C++ skills
- Solid C# skills
- Unreal Editor Experience
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to facilitate cross team working
Desirable
- Games Industry Experience
- Unity Editor Experience
- Elasticsearch / Kibana
- Usage of Web APIs
- Used UI frameworks (like WPF)
- Solid technical foundation (e.g. Computer Science / Maths degree or equivalent)
