Threat & Vulnerability Analyst

Rockstar is on the lookout for talented Threat and Vulnerability Analyst who possesses a passion for diving into deep into complex technical environments to identify and eliminate information security weaknesses. This is a full-time permanent position based out of Rockstar’s unique game development studio in the heart of New York City.
WHAT WE DO
- The Rockstar Security team is responsible for advancing the state of information security across the company globally in collaboration with numerous partners and stakeholders by prioritizing and executing security initiatives that drive down risk
- We strive to understand the threat landscape affecting our development studios, the gaming industry, and the world at large to define information security policies, standards and procedures to safeguard our business and protect our players
- We lead efforts to build enterprise security controls ranging from endpoint protection technologies to security incident and event monitoring solutions
- We have a passion for identifying threats and vulnerabilities, and coming up with clever solutions
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify, review and prioritize vulnerabilities from multiple sources (vulnerability scanners, Rockstar Game’s bug bounty program, penetration test reports, etc.)
- Work closely with IT and business teams on remediation and mitigation activities
- Track, document and validate vulnerability remediation in our ticket management and CMDB systems
- Manage vulnerability reporting and metrics, including status updates for different stakeholders
- Troubleshoot issues with vulnerability management tools and resources
- Collaborate with different teams to improve the vulnerability management process
- Identify opportunities to improve the vulnerability management process (e.g., automation, tooling, reporting)
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology Management, or a related field; industry certifications preferred (CISSP, CISA, CEH, GSEC, etc.)
- 3+ years of experience running security-related activities within an Information Technology organization
- Ability to apply technically oriented concepts to problem solving and engineering design
- Ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and written
- Self-starter with the ability to motivate others
SKILLS
- Strong understanding of the principles of vulnerability management
- Deep familiarity with the security of common infrastructure technologies that support a software development studio: Windows, Linux, Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, Visual Studio, Perforce (or distributed version control), VMware & enterprise virtualization, related storage, network and server platforms
DESIRED

- Experience with scripting and process automation
- Experience with penetration testing and offensive security techniques
- Industry certifications preferred (CISSP, GSEC, OSCP, CEH, etc.)
