Texture Artist - (unannounced AAA pc/console title)

Job Description
Texture Artists to create high quality textures and PBR materials and integrate them in the engine while keeping the consistency with the art direction.
Will work closely with the Lead Artist to support the visual intentions expected in the project and contribute to the player’s immersive experience.
Job Responsibilities
- Creates/modifies high-quality texture maps for PBR materials;
- Extensively uses UV layout principles to produce aesthetically pleasing result;
- Creates and maintains a texture and material library following the visual direction of the project and fitting into the technical restrictions;
- Makes choices and communicates them accordingly to reach the expected quality for optimized textures;
- Anticipates and suggests improvements to solve technical issues;
- Participate on plan texture production with the immediate supervisor;
- Fix bugs related to textures and materials;
Qualifications
MINIMUM SKILLS
- Demonstrable experience in texturing, modelling, lighting or image processing or other relevant experience in video game development;
- Demonstrable experience in the creation of a wide variety of textures (ie. terrain, vegetation, structural & props) for recent AAA titles.
- In-depth knowledge of Adobe Photoshop;
- Good knowledge in Substance packages;
- Good knowledge in 3D software packages - 3DS Max, Zbrush;
- High understanding of physically based rendering (PBR) pipelines
- Ability to understand technical constraints and to apply them to the assets created;
- Very good knowledge of texture mapping and materials;
- Ability to use efficiently the texture space and to take into consideration the pixel ratio;
- Good sense of detail, color, lighting value in regards to texture creation and material settings;
- Originality and proactivity when setting out solutions;
- Ability to manage their own time and work within deadlines;
- Ability and desire to work in creative and collaborative teams;
- Knowledge of data management software (such as Perforce);
- Knowledge of workload management software/principles (e.g. Jira);
- Passion for games and strong game culture;
- Good English and communication skills.
- Ability to receive feedback, adapt to change and to clearly communicate ideas;
Additional Information
DESIRED SKILLS
- Experience coaching less experienced Texture Artists;
- Some photogrammetry knowledge or experience
- Experience with real-time Lighting tools on game engines.
- Knowledge of other video game production disciplines;
