Test Engineer

CTRL-labs is looking for a Test Engineer to help ensure the reliability of our product portfolio. You will dive deep into designs across the mechanical, electrical, and embedded software teams to design test protocols, fixturing, and automation, as well as work with our manufacturing partners to implement testing at scale.

Key Areas of Responsibility

• Collaborating with engineers and supervising technicians to implement tests
• Researching and identifying materials and components required to complete tests
• Documenting test results and observations
• Exercising lab safety protocols
• Assisting with coordination and staging of engineering builds
• Designing complex scripts (preferably Python) for tests
• Designing rigorous, objective, complex scientific experiments
• Designing and prototyping complex components and test rigs
• Interacting with cross-functional teams including software and electrical

Job Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or similar
• 3+ years of experience in design or test roles
• Familiarity with common test and measurement tools like oscilloscopes and function generators
• Capable of independently owning and driving small design projects
• CAD experience (preferably SolidWorks) and some proved part/fixture designs
• High-level experience with software troubleshooting, script execution, and design (preferably in Python)
• Attention to detail
