Responsibilities
Your Daily Life at Bethesda Game Studios
As Technical Writer, you will...
- Interview and work with developers across multiple disciplines to create consistently clear and digestible documentation for technically complex processes
- Create tutorials and walkthroughs related to using our engine, tools, and development processes
- Identify customer needs for technical documentation, best practices, and other instructional content
- Gather customer feedback on documentation to improve usability
Qualifications
What Makes You S.P.E.C.I.A.L.
- You have clear and concise writing skills, with the ability to tailor style and vocabulary to the audience
- You have at least 2 years of professional experience as a technical writer or in related job role
- You are experienced in using knowledge sharing tools and wikis (Confluence preferred)
- You possess a keen technical curiosity, with outstanding research and problem-solving skills
Preferred Skills
Bonus Skills
- You have web, video game development, or technology industry experience
- You have experience with other methods of presenting learning content, such as recorded video tutorials, live video streams, or instructor-led training
Salary Range
Technical Writer - The typical base pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $60,000 - $140,000 per year.
ZeniMax has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States, which allows us to pay employees competitively and consistently in different geographic markets. The range above reflects the potential base pay across the U.S. for this role; the applicable base pay range will depend on what ultimately is determined to be the candidate’s primary work location. Individual base pay depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time.
