Role Overview
We’re looking for an experienced Technical Writer on the Tilia team to help make our payments platform easy to use and integrate. We care deeply about our user & developer experience and our docs are an integral component of our offering.
This role reports to the Director of Product and is responsible for creating stellar documentation for both our end-users and developers. We are looking for a writer who can not only document what is, but will act as Voice of the Developer / Customer and will partner with us to drive product & process improvements.

What We’ll Create Together
- Best-in-breed API documentation & developer portal, including API reference, SDK docs, developer guides, and sample code.
- Product guides, FAQs, and other documentation for business users, including our Compliance and Support agents.
- Documented style guides and standards that enable us to deliver consistent content in a common voice.
- Easy-to-understand diagrams that clearly capture how our product works and how we interface with our customers’ systems.
- An exceptional developer experience with timely & informative resources that help our developers get up and running quickly
What You’ll Bring to the Team
At Linden, we celebrate all the dimensions of diversity, including diversity of experience. We recognize that candidates applying for this role will be most successful if they bring the following with them:
- 5+ years experience writing technical documentation for developers.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, technical writing, core sciences, or equivalent experience.
- Aptitude for communicating technical concepts clearly and precisely.
- Passion for learning and teaching, an inquisitive mind, and a deep drive for figuring things out.
- Knowledge of REST APIs, OpenAPI standard (3.x preferred), and SDK developer toolkits.
- Experience with authoring and project tracking tools such as markdown, Github, JIRA, Confluence.
- Experience with programming to enable code samples, especially with core web technologies such as Python / Javascript / JSON.
- Experience with modern API documentation tools is required; experience with Redoc/Redocly is preferred.
- Familiarity with the payments industry, experience with financial/payment-related APIs preferred.
