Duration: Full time, Monday to Friday 9:00am -5:30pm
We are looking to hire an Intermediate Technical Writer with a strong technical background to develop clear, concise, technical software documentation for the team. This is a 4 month contract with a chance of being extended.
About The Team:
The team focuses on exploring new business models in the digital space, transforming the player experience, and connecting players with each other and with games they love through our subscription service business.
As a Technical Writer, part of the Customer Success Team, you will work with different teams and role types, including Engineering, Quality Verification, and Producers to:
- Writing, editing, and updating professional internal documentation for a technical audience including:
- Technical integration guides, SDK guides, technical architecture diagrams, release process diagrams, and internal user documentation
- Process and project documentation with the aim of creating simple, clear, process documents that all teams can understand and follow
- Consolidating and curating recent content submissions from multiple contributors to present a consistent style, tone, and voice
- Interviewing product owners, software developers, and subject matter experts (as required)
- Contributing to style guides, best practices, and page templates
- Confluence Administration support, including:
- Supporting any Confluence editing or formatting problems
- Assisting team members in finding content and helping them follow best practices to create their own
- Managing page permissions as needed
Requirements
Key Qualifications:
- 3+ years of software-related technical writing experience, writing for a technical audience in a fast-paced software development environment
- Good technical background and knowledge, or experience providing the ability to grasp and document technical concepts, theories and ideas
- Proven ability to generate documentation that is clear, concise, consistent, and accurate
- Quick learner and good collaborator
- Excellent writing and editing skills with high attention to detail
- 1+ years Confluence expertise
- Experience working with JIRA in an Agile environment
Nice to Haves:
- Experience writing technical specifications
- Confluence space administration experience
- CSS and HTML experience
- QA, programming, or technical support background
