Technical Writer- Product Management Team (3 Month Contract)

And we want you to join us. We’re hiring a Technical Writer. In this role you will work with experts from multiple teams within our Product Management Team. You will understand both the business and technical requirements to help document the technology we want to build and the results of the experiments we are running. Your efforts to create documentation will help the team focus on what needs to happen next to keep the programs, projects, and experiments moving forward.
This role is part of EA’s Customer Experience organization. The Customer Experience organization strives to make EA known for taking care of its players. We’re players taking care of players and people talking to people – whenever, wherever, and however they need us.
The Technical Writer will work with multiple teams across Customer Experience including Programs, XLabs, and IT. You will be responsible for juggling multiple responsibilities and helping to sort out priorities. You have to be masters at communicating with team members working in different countries and timezones.

- Write – You’ll write easy-to-read content with a pinch of personality.
- Edit – You’re detail-oriented and have an eye for grammar, making sure every i is dotted and every t is crossed.
- Research – You search before you ask, digging up the latest info about what the best writers and CX companies are doing today.
- Learn – You like to learn new things and aren’t afraid to test something new.
- Organize – You are great at helping to bring order to a sometimes chaotic process.

If you’re interested in this role, you’ll need these skills or experiences:
- Thrive in fast-paced environments with frequent updates (or curveballs, because what company doesn’t throw a few of those?)
- Experience using agile project management tools.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Write, proofread, edit, and style documents using Google Docs, including experiment write-ups, whitepapers, forms and other technical documents to ensure content accuracy, clarity, format/style consistency, and grammar accuracy.
- Work with technical subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather and understand information necessary to facilitate editing; re-organizing content for best flow; and producing final documents.
- Ensure edited content is consistent with EA / WWCE / SPI / XLabs style, strategy, and key messages; maintains player perspective; and is also well-organized, engaging, and compelling.
