Technical Writer Intern

Are you interested in crafting technical documentation for software? Do you have outstanding interpersonal, communication, research, and time management skills? Do you excel at drafting and prioritizing content to meet audience needs? Do you easily shift from working independently to collaborating with a team?
As a Technical Writer Intern, you are responsible for writing and editing technical material used by PlayStation staff and partners. Would you like to join the team who builds extraordinary goal-based, end-user guides with a dedication to innovation in structured writing? We craft content for users of internally developed software products used to build the PlayStation ecosystem, and we are looking for someone just like you!
Responsibilities:
You will be joining hardworking writers who are adept at:
- Single sourcing
- Structured authoring
- Terminology development
- Content management
Together with domain specialists, you will:
- Ensure technical accuracy, grammatical coherence, and technical integrity
- Improve overall structure and architecture of content
- Use your analytical skills to understand and develop a framework for authoring comprehensive user guides for complex software products
- Adapt the above efforts to meet project goals
- Mitigate schedule constraints to ensure you complete project on time
Qualifications:
We use industry-standard content development software and accepted documentation formats, and we use the following standards and tools:
- XML, (Oxygen preferred)
- HTML
- Google Drive
- GIT/Git Hub
- Confluence
- JIRA
