What You'll do...
- Learn about new processes, tools, and professional talents
- Determine the clearest and most logical way to present information to achieve the greatest reader comprehension
- Produce documentation in a quick turn-around environment
- Meet virtually & brainstorm with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to derive improvements of older documentation
- Independently gather information from SMEs who may have minimal documentation experience, and translate that into new documentation on highly specialized topics that will be read by an audience with a diverse skill set
- Review and/or copyedit content developed by SMEs
- Analyze information required for the development or update of policy, procedure, and form documentation
- Create, or work with designers and analysts to create, attractive and informative flow diagrams, charts, and other visual aids, to assist readers in understanding a product or process
- Communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams of both technical directors, programmers, UX/UI designers, and support staff, to plan, develop, and produce high-quality documentation products in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Work simultaneously on multiple projects as assigned, and independently setting priorities to meet changing deadlines and scope-of-work definitions
- Perform proofreading of general-audience, administrative, technical, and artistic instructions, and produce mechanical and substantive edits, correcting grammar, technical usage, content
- Collaboratively develop standards for style guide for technical content within our growing organization
- Create and use templates and style sheets to ensure product consistency and quality
- Record page inventories for vetting and archival procedures as assigned
- Ensures projects adhere to schedules and deadlines
You will have…
- Bachelor's Degree
- Technical Writing – 3+ years
- Experience writing for web services and/or software products – 3 years
- Relevant CMS expertise with a headless CMS (preferably Ghost) – 3+ years
- Adobe Photoshop expertise – 2+ years
- Jira experience – 1-3 years
- Prior experience with a Live Services CNCF environment OR in Entertainment and/or Gaming Industry
Next-Level Awesome Extras Desired
- Degree Major/Minor in a relevant field, such as English, Literature, Communications, and/or Writing a definite plus
- Experience working with REST APIs
- Programming and/or scripting experience
- Experience in Training/Education
