The Diablo IV team is looking for a Technical Writer to help write and organize the documentation of our game development processes and tools. We are looking for a creative and collaborative individual comfortable ap plying their craft in a dynamic and complex environment. This will be primarily be writing documentation in support of how to use our proprietary engine and editor toolsets.
Location flexible: This role is anticipated to be a hybrid work position, with some work on-site and some work-from-home. The potential home studio for this role is Albany, NY or Irvine, CA.
Responsibilities:
- Interview and work with developers to create consistently clear and digestible documentation for technically complex processes.
- Work with developers across multiple disciplines who are subject matter experts in a variety of subjects.
- Create tutorials and walkthroughs related to using our engine, tools , and development processes.
- Work in engine to prepare in-game writing for the voiceover pipeline.
- Documentation audience varies in their technical knowledge.
Minimum Requirements
Experience
- Experience using Confluence for creating and organizing documentation .
- Experience researching and writing technical documentation.
- Experience working in a large , creative team (software development preferred).
Knowledge & Skills
- Associate degree in design, English, technical communications, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
- Equivalent experience with combined education can be substituted for the education requirements.
- Fluency using the Microsoft suite of tools.

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $26.83 - $49.63 Hourly. This base pay range is for the U.S. and is not applicable to locations outside of the U.S. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
