Technical UI Designer

What You’ll Do

Help drive the execution of new game features, capabilities, and content
Work directly in UE5 to create UI content and implement features, systems, and components to create high quality User Interfaces
Collaborate across engineering, design, UX, and art disciplines to develop relevant solutions for user flow, performance and functionality with an ever-watchful eye on creating a positive user experience
Rapidly Prototype Designs made by the Visual & UX designers
Layout wireframes and widgets with appropriate support so visual designers can begin styling
Implement visual scripting logic for presentation and function as needed
Manage and maintain work in JIRA and Confluence to help drive context, understanding and awareness
Monitor, maintain and improve UI performance and memory constraints by following best practices
Remain aware of localization needs, upholding localization UI standards and best practices

What You’ll Bring

Team outlook, help foster a healthy work environment and deliver high quality work
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to foster collaboration with teammates and partners
Proven ability to be self-directed; effective and productive even when the path ahead is not obvious
Basic skills and knowledge of 2D animation / motion graphics
Ability to read and write code (C++, C#) with a strong understanding of logic and object-oriented approaches
Professional experience with Adobe Suite, game engines (Unity, Unreal, Custom)
UI Portfolio
2+ Shipped titles in a UI role

Nice to Have

Experience in game development outside of UI (Engineering, Art, Design)
Unreal Engine 4/5 Experience (Bluprint, UMG)
Experience in multiple UI pipelines
Experience with building materials/shaders in Unreal Engine

Work Location: On Site in West Seattle, or Work from Home / Remote (with WA State residency)
Employment status: Full Time
FLSA Status: Salaried, Exempt
