You will be responsible for the oversight and management of SIE Consumer Experience. As a Consumer Experience Technical Project Manager, you are a strategic thinker who enjoys removing obstacles and is comfortable leading cross regional and cross functional teams. You have experience performing under pressure in a dynamic environment and can partner across an organizational matrix to deliver optimal results against challenging timelines. You are passionate about online gaming and have an interest in media and entertainment. You will deliver impactful projects/programs and serve as the change agent driving adoption of PMO procedures across the global Consumer Experience organization.
The Job
- You will be focused on our Japan / Asia teams, you will represent the business requirements for all global projects to ensure engagement and value based deliverables can be incorporated.
- You bring to bear central information systems to run consumer experience projects. Tracks project schedule, handles tasks and revisions as well as project recording history and provides project progress to Consumer Experience partners.
- Partners with key Consumer Experience partners, Enterprise PMO, and Consumer Insights to collect project information, specification, and asset availability to build project schedule and flow
- Handles project progress and reports to senior management
- Crafts, updates, maintains and records project documentation
- Identifies and analyzes procedures, and coordinates with partners to recommend improvements
- Promotes the tracking system and standardized processes across the department
- Provides essential communication between departments regarding project status
- Provides reports and historical project related activities for department visibility to standard methodologies and consistency.
- Provides assistance in with Japanese-English communication as required.
The Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required.
- You are fluent in both Japanese and English.
- 7+ years of proven success and relevant work experience in management consulting, business strategy & operations, project/program management and/or operations, ideally in an environment focused on delivering services.
- Proven ability to juggle contending priorities; Shown ability to handle ambiguity, and a preparedness to tackle what is necessary to get things done. Experience negotiating through challenging circumstances.
- Validated experience successfully leading and advocating for a globally distributed team.
- Strong people management skills with a highly-developed level of emotional intelligence.
- Experience working cross-functionally with a wide range of different teams and personalities.
- Excellent social and written communication skills; Strong public-speaking and presentation skills.
- Analytical, data-driven approach to problem-solving and an ability to think strategically about issues and solutions.
- Thorough understanding of consumer behavior and how it can be influenced.
- Detailed knowledge of the Gaming industry and PlayStation heritage.
Preferred:
- You have a Master’s degree or an MBA in a related discipline.
- Experience with multiple project management methodologies and frameworks such as SaFE Agile disciplines and standard process improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma, Lean and Kaizen methods.
- Working knowledge of analytics software e.g. Qlik, Tableau or MicroStrategy.
- Good technical understanding and the ability to pick up new tools quickly.
- Experience working in a multilingual environment and/or a good knowledge of another language.
- Experience working within the gaming industry a plus
- Excellent teammate with a positive attitude who is fun to work with
