Technical Project Manager, Information Technology Services
Remote – US and Canada only
Reports to: ITS Senior Project Manager

Our most recent game, Sky: Children of Light, is our most complex undertaking to date. It is a social network built around the values inherited from a powerful humanistic story. It is a live experience continuously evolving inside a global online theme park.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and passionate technical project manager to join us in managing the development of game backend technologies, analytics platforms, and player support applications. These services and platforms are the core technology supporting our current and future game titles, as well as enabling our company to live-operate Sky: Children of Light with millions of active users generating terabytes of data per day.
As a TPM, you will report to the Senior Project Manager, managing multiple technical projects in software and game development that serve millions of players and internal customers.
Responsibilities
Manage projects for thatgamecompany’s ITS teams, including:
- Data Engineering/Analytics, Online Engine, Support Applications
- DevOps, Infrastructure, Security, Enterprise Operations
- Oversee development to ensure the on-time completion and quality of all tasks and deliverables
- Facilitate requirements gathering and backlog management
- Anticipate, identify, communicate, and help resolve issues that may compromise quality or schedule
- Work with senior management to build and refine processes that:
- Enhance cross-functional communication
- Foster sustainable development practices
- Provide feedback, advice, project updates and encouragement to team members
- Foster and manage collaboration with third-party technology vendors and contractors
- Work closely with the CIO, Senior Project Manager, and Technical Leads to create a strong long term vision planning and roadmap for the ITS department

- Scrum Master certification
- Experience with software engineering
- Experience with Atlassian Development and Collaboration Tools
- Experience in the video game industry
- Experience with data science and AI/ML

The salary range for this position is $80,000 USD to $130,000 USD annually, with the
opportunity to earn an annual discretionary bonus. This salary range is an estimate, and
the actual salary may vary based on the Company’s compensation practices.
Employees in this position are eligible to participate in the Company’s standard
employee benefit programs, which currently include the following: medical, dental, vision,
401k, and paid time off.
