Technical Program Manager, Security

Are you ready to bring a positive impact to the world through the power of geospatial & augmented reality technologies? We’re looking for a Technical Program Manager who will lead the charge in change management for security initiatives across games, products, infrastructure and systems. You will drive rollout plan creation and execution. In addition, your skills in organization will help the security organization prioritize initiatives and articulate the value to internal stakeholders.
In this Technical Program Manager role you will build a culture of partnership with product and game development teams, encouraging being security-minded from the concept phase to launch and ongoing operations.. You will be a critical member of the team, a valued resource across Niantic as a hub of expertise and collaboration. Being self-directed and having a strong work ethic will be critical in this role.
Responsibilities
- Initiate a Security Program which can articulate the roadmap, progress, risks and mitigations to Niantics.
- Deliver the structure in which security engineers create and deliver projects to the organization.
- Develop trusted relationships with key tech, functional and product stakeholders to focus on Security initiatives and optimize program delivery.
- Anticipate and aggressively remove blockers to ensure program delivery.
- Build communications strategies for Security decisions and improvement that drive buy in for adoption.
- Create systems that ensure every team and individual understands what they need to deliver at all times.
- Create templates, workflows and processes that are lightweight and exactly suited to the needs of the team.
- Be comfortable in settings ranging from technical discussions with engineers to presenting to C-level executives.
Requirements
- Thorough understanding of Secure Development Lifecycle fundamentals and components.
- Empathy for engineers and cross functional team mates that will need to understand “what’s in it for them” to get buy in and adoption.
- Experience in framing and establishing large-scale initiatives and change management.
- Well versed in development processes like Agile and tools like JIRA.
- BS or MS degree in Communications, Operations, Engineering or equivalent job experience.
- 5+ years of experience in software program management.

- Led vulnerability remediation processes.
- Been a security professional at a AAA game company.
- Been a security professional at an enterprise technology company.
- Have driven a company through validation by a compliance organization.
