Technical Program Manager II - WR, Cross Initiative

Technical Program Managers are delivery leaders at Riot. We lead teams to provide player value through work systems and practices. While driving internal agreement and accountability for teams and development organizations, we are focusing on improvement.
As a Technical Program Manager (TPgM) on the Wild Rift Cross-Initiative Programs team, you will work with multiple disciplines within the initiative, across initiatives within Wild Rift, with partners in other Riot teams, and with external partners. You will lead one or more programs at once, from the discovery process, through integrating lessons learned for the benefit of future programs. You will report to the Cross-Initiative Programs Lead.
Responsibilities:
- Direct the program lifecycle from discovery, through solution development and alignment, to rollout, training, measuring results, and follow-up on lessons learned
- Implement processes and working models for high sustainability and productivity among all stakeholders, including internal partners and external vendors
- Manage development schedules and emergent tasks, while mitigating risks and managing tradeoffs
- Promote transparency and predictability with planning, and process documentation
- Drive alignment on technical decisions, and identify and resolve roadblocks to help engineers make and meet commitments
- Build relationships across all disciplines, including personally and for the team
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of project/program management experience or equivalent
- Broad technical understanding of common operational and development challenges
- Experience managing technical projects and leading engineering teams, through the full software lifecycle
- Experience working with distributed teams and facilitating virtual meetings
- Guide teamwork, collaboration and commitment across multiple groups
- Prior success developing productive working relationships with team members, colleagues, and all customers
Desired Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- Business fluency in Mandarin and English, and can promote collaboration across language and culture
- Experience with the continuous improvement model, and DevOps (continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) in particular)
- Understanding of Waterfall, Agile, Kanban, DevOps, and Continuous Improvement methodologies
