Reporting to our Studio Production Director, we're looking for a Technical Production Director to focus on the technical delivery of Firesprite’s games, working closely with project technical teams, our central Dev Ops team, and wider SIE (Sony Interactive Entertainment) teams to ensure our technical tools and pipelines are best in class to support the development of our games. You will also be involved in improving Firesprite production processes, enabling AAA development, and the development of a world class development environment.

You will be instrumental in helping us achieve our plans for 2023 and beyond as we go through an exciting time of company growth and development.

This is an opportunity to take a leadership position, working on some of the world’s biggest titles that will be showcased on a global stage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working in a leadership role across the development of multiple AAA projects, and responsible for developing and delivering the technical roadmap for all projects in partnership with the Studio Production Director.
  • Supporting the technical producers on projects, as well as producers within the central Dev Ops team, with planning for technical solutions needed by the projects.
  • Working with wider SIE teams to ensure our technical tools and pipelines are best in class to support the development of our games.
  • Supporting in the leadership of the Firesprite Production teams to ensure timely delivery of all project milestones and final releases.
  • Ensuring consistent delivery of projects, and responsible for regularly reviewing indicators that track project quality, delivery, financials, and risks.
  • Supporting the Studio Production Director with evolving and, where appropriate, implementing a robust project management process and culture of delivery within the team at all stages of development from concept through to final.
  • Involved in reviews of all projects according to milestone gates.

Requirements:

  • Worked on at least 3 full AAA production cycles in a Senior position or higher.
  • A demonstrated high level of technical proficiency and are experienced with Proprietary and Unreal Engine and Toolsets.
  • Strong process background.
  • Expert knowledge of project management practices (Agile, Prince2 etc)
  • Previous experience with long-term planning.
  • Experience with tracking work and mitigating risk - with the ability to adapt to change and risk during the project whilst maintaining a credible plan.
  • Comfortable in a diverse work environment, embracing changes and accepting revisions if needed to improve the game.
  • Strong knowledge of industry standard packages (MS Office, Jira, perforce etc)
  • Strong oral and written English communication skills and a friendly, approachable nature.

Additional Desirable Skills:

  • Knowledge of outsource planning.
  • Experience in AAA game cinematics production
  • Prior usage of Confluence for documentation.
  • Familiarity of live services and game economies.
  • Previous experience collaborating closely with a leadership team.
