Job Description
Ubisoft IT is seeking a technical product manager to help us build an IT platform for our developers. Based on Kubernetes, the platform enables Ubisoft teams to deploy their applications with ease. From player-facing use cases to tooling, we enable our developers to build, run, and operate their applications at scale, across a multi-cloud infrastructure.
In this role, you’ll be joining the Engineering and Platform (E&P) team: the creative powerhouse behind Ubisoft’s IT platform. We take a product-centric approach to deliver cloud-native solutions to manage infrastructure, so game teams can focus on delivering the best gaming experiences for players.
As a product manager on the team, you will own the product lifecycle for one or more solutions of the Kubernetes-based platform. You will discover use cases, define requirements, evaluate priorities, confirm usability, and apply feedback for continuous improvement. You will also be responsible for managing the relationship with internal customers through product delivery, setting expectations and helping them onboard.
Responsibilities
- Generate quantitative and qualitative data to support product hypotheses;
- Document user-centric requirements that provide engineering teams with a clear definition of what to build;
- Define a cohesive end-to-end user experience for services across console, API, CLI, and SDK interfaces;
- Participate in technical design discussions to represent customer needs;
- Manage prioritization by assessing trade-offs between on-time delivery, breadth and depth of functionality;
- Define go-to-market strategy and provide artifacts that improve product adoption by conducting analysis with similar products to develop a best-in-class perspective;
- Define product roadmap based on the customer, business needs and manage delivery expectations;
- Define a long-term strategy for the platform.
Qualifications
- Experience in infrastructure software, public cloud platforms, cloud-native technologies, and/or developer tooling;
- Experience or appetite to work with Kubernetes and containerization technologies;
- Excellent documentation skills;
- Flexible and agile – ability to multi-task, adapt quickly and be effective in new situations.
