As a part of Sony Interactive Entertainment, PlayStation is leading the cloud gaming revolution, putting console-quality video games on any device.
As a Technical Procurement Coordinator, you are capable of handling multiple aspects of the procurement process for the Cloud Gaming Engineering & Infrastructure division (CGEI). You enjoy facing new challenges and the sense of accomplishment from tackling them. Never a dull day, a healthy mix of various projects ensures that the work is both challenging and fast paced.
Responsibilities:
- Communicate with suppliers, obtain and review quotations, place/manage purchase orders and ensure on-time delivery.
- Support Technical Buyers in the completion of procurement transactions.
- Fulfill relevant requests and obtain product or service information, such as price, availability, and delivery schedules.
- Work with Accounts Payable to pay invoices, resolve discrepancies and setup new vendors.
- Confirm shipping dates and ensure product is received per supplier commits and/or business needs.
- Review open order reports and manage critical deliveries
- Assist Technical Buyers with monitoring and addressing any impacting supply issues.
- Escalate any potential impacting issues to the attention of the appropriate Technical Buyer.
- Manage international freight logistics and shipments.
- Perform other duties as assigned by team Manager.
Skills and Knowledge:
- BA/BS or equivalent experience
- Required: Purchasing and logistics experience, working knowledge of SAP SRM for PO entry
- Effectively prioritizes to ensure timely completion of work within job scope. Must be analytical, detail oriented and results focused.
- Proficient in MS Office suite.
- Prior experience in networking, cloud industry or related field is a definite plus.
