Requirements
As Technical Operations Audio Lead, you will be instrumental in the implementation of the team's mission to build and maintain a supportive environment for new and existing users of Clients and Studios technology.
In this role, your primary focus will be the support of our audio and dubbing rooms/stages, tools, platform release activities, including, but not limited to, translating business requirements into software solutions, oversee user acceptance testing and creation of end-user documentation, delivery of training sessions and onboarding support for the Production and Operations community.
You will work with Subject Matter Experts, and Individual Users to ensure software solutions are properly tested, validated, and deployed to meet business objectives, workflow automation and a positive end-user experience. You will oversee the maintenance and troubleshooting of audio rooms/stages and equipment inventories, including support for remote workers.
Working with regional IT Staff, you will administer user and computer accounts for all studio resources.
- Evaluate end-user feedback to streamline and improve our audio, dubbing and subtitling toolsets, outputs and workflow automation.
- Lead and support our local team, assist in special projects, participate in team meetings.
- Maintain operational excellence for our stages and rooms ensuring Pro Tools and Soundminer systems are fully functioning.
- Oversee training sessions for a culturally diverse, global audience.
- Must have ability to make sound judgments when dealing with issues that arise during troubleshooting and have the skills to determine the appropriate action to be taken for a given situation; must be able to prioritize instantly to prevent missed deadlines.
- Provide timely, accurate, professional and responsive support, verbally and via email, to internal and external customer/clients to resolve all issues reported and take proactive steps to prevent the conflict/problem from reoccurring.
- Provide feedback and suggestions to management for improved client and end-user satisfaction, process improvements and system enhancements.
- Identify opportunities for operational efficiencies and solution always with our operational capabilities in mind all the while maintaining compliance with our SLAs and SOWs.
- Coordinating and collaborating with Keywords IT team to find solutions and workflows.
- Setting up solutions to interface with and support client’s IT protocols.
- Overseeing and making sure the servers (NAS as well as media-based servers like NEXIS and EVO) are being backed up and serviced to minimize any down time.
- Helping with remote talent setups and equipment/technology needs.
- Setting up of secure remote configuration, resetting servers, migrating media, formatting and partitioning drives.
- Preparing media or gear for client delivery, basic cabling support, troubleshooting speaker and monitor issues, physical movement and set up of gear like our remote review workstations.
- Tracking and management of all company owned assets that are assigned to talent whether working remotely or in studio.
- Management of plugin and sample libraries, software licenses and all iLoks.
- Troubleshooting any issues with design/mix systems.
Our ideal profile:
- Bachelor's Degree in Audio Engineering, Production or Postproduction Studies or applicable equivalent experience.
- Experience in recording voice talent for ADR, voice over or dubbing projects.
- Expert level experience with computers (both Mac and PC) that are used for audio postproduction.
- Expert knowledge of and ability to troubleshoot the following programs: Pro Tools, Soundminer, Dante, Audio Architect, Dolby Atmos software and configuration, BSS software and hardware.
- Able to understand and problem solve remote interfacing solutions with crew and clients, such as Zoom, Google Hangouts, MS Teams, Evercast, Source Connect / Nexus and Live, Clearview, Streambox, Shotgun, Airtable, SyncSketch.
- Should also be familiar with system diagrams and tutorials, Avid controllers, general audio signal flow, re-recording workflow, computer reformatting and disk management.
- Global business insight with theoretical and practical knowledge of audio post-production workflow best practices and industry standards.
- Strong understanding of audio/video file formats (IMF, UHD, HD, SD, Proxies, .MOV, .MP4, etc.), standards conversions and electronic delivery technologies (S3, Aspera).
- Experience with source control systems and workflow tools-- JIRA/Confluence, Git.
- Ability to create and edit technical documentation.
- Ability to clearly communicate technical or non-technical information according to the audience.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment with an ability to engage with a culturally diverse, global team.
- Ability to apply critical thinking and root cause analysis.
- Adaptability and resiliency to quick changes in priorities, technology, tools and workflows.
- Ability to manage complex projects and tasks.

The salary range reflected is an estimate of base pay and varies per state. The base pay range for this role in the state of California is between $100,000 - $110,000.
