Job Description
Your life at Ubi:
As a Technical Level Designer you will create and implement technical design elements into the game while acting as an additional technical point of contact for LDs on the project.
Your main mission:
- Assist with the prototyping and production of the technical elements of a game feature
- Assist in the testing of new features and tools before they are deployed to the rest of the team
- Contribute to data optimization and validation by ensuring that level designers comply with the technical standards
- Ensure gameplay ingredients and gameplay spaces conform to game metrics
- Act as an additional technical point of contact for the team in relation to level design
- Debug and implement reliable solutions to issues until production has ended
- Offer support for level designers on the tools and methods used on the project and contribute to training materials
Qualifications
The professional value you bring:
- Familiar with Level Design principles
- Experience with 3D engines ( In-house Ubisoft Editors, Unreal, CryEngine, Unity, Hammer etc. )
- Visual/Node scripting ( Blueprint, Flow Graph )
- Procedural tools ( Houdini, World machine ) is a plus
- Experience and training in scripting ( python, lua, c#, java ) is a plus
