Technical Lead

What is the challenge for a Technical Lead at Ludia?

As Technical Lead, your mandate is to lead technically a team of mobile game programmers working with the Unity game engine. You will be expected to rely on both your experience and industry best practices to plan and achieve a technical vision and anticipate challenges. You will ensure that the game's code meets Ludia's high-quality standards.

In this role, you will coach and mentor the team and help them to hone their programming skills. You will act as the team's central hub for technical knowledge and guidance.

Key Responsabilities:

• Create and maintain the project's technical backlog;
• Assess risks and technical challenges and provide contingency plans;
• Resolve critical technical issues;
• Provide high-level estimates for the major features to be developed;
• Define code conventions and establish good practices;
• Define and maintain the system architectures, libraries, and modules required for the development;
• Analyze and approve the technical design documents developed by the team;
• Implement or supervise the development of the critical modules of the game;
• Ensure that the features developed by the team meet our technical quality standards;
• Create quality technical documentation;
• Propose and develop tools to improve the various production pipeline

Qualifications

What we're looking for :

• 8+ years of experience as a game programmer;
• Advanced knowledge of programming and debugging in C # and Java;
• In-depth knowledge of the Unity game engine;
• Advanced knowledge of performance profiling tools and optimization techniques;
• Experience in game development for Android and iOS as game as a service (GAAS - Client and Server);
• Advanced knowledge of graphics and network rendering;
• Ability to collaborate, coach, and supervise a technical team;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
• Interest in the advancement of advanced game technology and development methodologies;
• Bilingualism (FR / ENG).
