Technical Lead – Data Operations

The Data Engineering team at Take-Two is looking for a Data Operations Lead to act as the technical lead for the data operations team. The individual will be a hands-on leader to focus on automation and scalability, building and supporting data pipelines, tracking alerts, and solving production issues.
This position requires a passionate data technologist – someone with expertise in integration technologies, dev/data ops, and operational processes. The ideal candidate can maintain the fine balance of business acumen and deep technical knowledge.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead an operations team that supports and is responsible for data availability, data accuracy & data quality.
- Govern the data operations framework across ownership, process documentation, service levels, data quality, performance dashboards, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Run daily, weekly & monthly operational calls with leadership, teams, and stakeholders to track and prioritize the activities.
- Promote and implement standards and procedures, Work with the team to ensure conformity to standards and best practices.
- Coordinate activities including appropriate communications when an issue is identified.
- Incident management, triage the activities and work with various stakeholders and communicate with timely updates.
- Ensure transparency of all operational issues and metrics to management and leadership and proactively find opportunities for operational efficiencies.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 4+ years of hands-on experience in using Informatica for building data pipelines with 1+ year of experience using Informatica Cloud Services (IICS)
- 4+ years of experience in writing and optimizing highly efficient and complex SQL queries.
- 2+ years of production support/operations experience in a complex environment.
- Experience with Oracle Analytics Server (OAS) BI tool highly desirable.
- Knowledge of software coding practices across the development lifecycle, including agile methodologies, coding standards, code reviews, source management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Effective analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in an engineering or technical field such as Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Engineering, or similar.
