Our projects include working as a co-developer on Halo Infinite, projects in the Minecraft Universe, supporting the development of Magic: The Gathering Arena, supporting development of Fallout 76, and developing unannounced titles including partner projects and internal IP. Skybox Labs is currently seeking an experienced Technical Game Designer to join a fan favorite AAA action RPG. You will work closely with other game designers & engineers to support feature development within the game player facing scripting systems. The ideal candidate has experience at scripting in Lua, C#, Python or similar and has a passion for first-person shooters.
A snapshot of your role:
- Work within a team of Artists, Designers, and Engineers to determine and implement actions for your content and achieve remarkable combatant experiences
- Write text based scripts using a proprietary scripting language for systems within the game
- Design, implement, and balance content that drives regular player engagement
- Collaborate with internal and partner teams to deliver iconic experiences for players
Sound like you? This is what we're looking for:
- 5+ years within a technical design role
- Proficient at scripting with Lua, C#, Python or similar scripting languages
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience using game engines such as Unreal, Unity, Frostbite or similar
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Solid understanding of first-person-shooters
Nice-to-haves:
- Experience working on a AAA title
- Technical Animation and/or AI experience
- Experience working on first-person-shooters

Flexible Hybrid and Remote Work Models:
