Studio Manager - Motion Capture

For 30 years we’ve been creating incredible video games at our multiple studios, but Rebellion is more than just games. We have our own film and mo-cap studio, we create board games, publish books, and through 2000AD, publish comics and graphic novels such as the amazing Judge Dredd.
The Audiomotion team is based in our Didcot film studio, and as part of the role, you may be required to be on site or to travel for shoots. When not on a shoot, there would be some availability to work on a hybrid basis.
We are on the lookout for a Motion Capture Studio Manager to join our passionate and growing Audiomotion Team to work on a variety of projects!
The Audiomotion team has worked on a variety of exciting projects for Disney, Warner Bros, and several game developers. We continue to work on prestigious projects, and this is an exciting time to join.
You will play an integral role in the team organising a variety of tasks focused on processing data through post-production pipelines, real-time 3d engine operation, and mocap stage assistance.
- Daily operation of Vicon motion capture system
- Daily calibration of the capture Volume
- Calibration of Actors
- Build and calibration of Props and tracking objects
- Placement of markers on actors and props
- Maintenance of mocap hardware
- Assist with motion capture camera placement and setup
- Troubleshoot Vicon data quality
- Troubleshooting technical issues on-set
- Client communication
- Data clean-up to a high standard
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year experience of running a motion capture system
- Experience with working with Vicon or other motion capture systems
- Used to working in a fast-paced work as part of a team
- Must be able to execute technically difficult work and maintain a productive attitude, whilst under pressure and time constraints during shoot days
- Good knowledge of film/game production
- Must be highly computer literate with Windows Operating Systems
- Understanding of basic animation principles
- Understanding of human anatomy & physiology
- Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and solve issues
