As the Dev Ops leader for Competitive Gaming, you will be a key member of the Central CGD operations team bridging the gap between business problems and technical solutions. You will work closely with the CGD team and cross-functional business partners including central tech teams, studio development teams and marketing teams providing technical specifications and components for custom (built) solutions as well as packaged (bought) solutions

THE ROLE

A self-starter with a considerable breadth of technical knowledge and the ability to dig deep when necessary.

Someone who communicates well with people across dozens of teams and practices with strong interpersonal, conflict resolution, and customer service skills. Ability to translate business requirements into technical requirements balancing architectural concerns of the solution with enterprise considerations such as scalability, security, monitoring and maintenance/support.

Build great working relationships within the EA employee community. Ability to balance the pressures of a fast-paced project environment with the need for a fun, productive group and environment

An engineer with a passion for excellence, a devotion to automation, and an eye for efficiency. E xperience with all phases of product development lifecycle, including requirements definition, specifications, development, test, product release, and sustaining engineering.

Determining risks of packaged/3rd party solutions/platforms such as feature/vendor lock-in and extensibility via API integrations.

Ability to dive into the code while trying to understand behavior is a must. Experience with Python, Node.js, Ruby, Java, Go & C. General knowledge of the following technologies HTTP, SSL, DNS, Active Directory Forests and LDAP, MySQL / SQL. SDK/Library/middleware development experience is highly preferred

A strong understanding of distributed systems and understanding of the CAP theorem, techniques for high availability, service discovery, secret management, etc. Experience with Virtualization, Containerization, Cloud Computing: AWS, GCP, Azure, VMWare ecosystem, Kubernetes, Docker, etc.

Work with product management and stakeholders to define CGD technical product, program, and platform strategy, features, short term, and long-term goals proactively manage issues and risks to resolution

Use data creatively to communicate product vision, ideas and concepts to influence stakeholders. Ability to generate Technical Documentation, Architecture and Workflow Diagrams. Experience in Visio, OmniGraffle, and other diagram tools •

B.S. in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience, MS preferred
