What You'll Do
Epic Games is looking for a Technical Designer to join our team currently working on Human Machine Interface (HMI). In this role, you’ll be implementing user interfaces that will define the future of vehicle interiors. You’ll work with some of the best creative people in the world to bring our creative vision to life. If you are a technical or game designer that likes cool cars, this is the job for you!.
In This Role You Will
- Straddle the line between game design and gameplay programming, and will have the expertise and interest to do both well and apply it to HMI.
- Be a part of the creative process, work with existing ideas and create new game systems; independently bringing these ideas to a playable prototype state
- Be the go-to person for the implementation of complex content that stretches the capabilities of existing systems, or projects that require heavy programmer/designer interaction
What We're Looking For
- An advanced Blueprint user comfortable building everything from 1st person shooter logic to touchscreen interactions and editor tools
- You have been part of a live Unreal project where you have owned large areas of technical design implementation
- Autonomous and resourceful
- Ability to communicate your ideas and collaborate with others (written, verbal, or purely creating prototypes)
Nice To Have Skills
- Moderate knowledge of C++ or scripting languages
- Passionate about automobiles
This position is open in multiple locations across North America including: Cary, Chicago, Toronto, San Francisco and Austin.
