Technical Content Artist
We’re looking for a super talented 3D and unity artist with strong 2D sensibilities to own the content environment of Love & Pies. You’ll create and implement new areas of the map and help improve aspects both visually and efficiently to take visuals to the next level.
Our ideal candidate has an extensive knowledge of working in Unity and Maya, creating, implementing and finding enjoyment in technical aspects that add creativity into the game.
Responsibilities
- Own and develop 3D scenes in Unity and Maya. Build new areas based on concepts with low poly modeling and texturing befitting the style of Love and Pies. Creating and texturing 3D assets and upgrades to be imported into Unity
- Assist in the implementation of assets into Unity, while long term developing a process for our content pipeline that works with outsourcers and a growing internal team
- Create environment animations and effects, and assist in the creation of Spine and Unity animations across features in the environment
- Have a strong awareness of your work in terms of frame rate, memory and optimising assets. Help develop and communicate solutions for the performance of the game effectively between programmers and artists
- Working with content designers you’ll assist in cutscene creation and scene set ups; this involves getting up to speed with our CMS, timing/anims and how all our upgrades are referenced and structured in Unity to deliver story scenes
- Maintain clean usable files and process, keep documentation up to date for the rest of the team.
Requirement
- Rockstar experience in Unity with cameras, shaders/materials, animation controllers and systems, scene setups experience
- Rockstar experience in Maya, low poly environment modeling, optimized uving and texturing, efficient and clean workfiles for scalable scenes
- Experience working with Spine: skinning, animating and rigging
- A proactive attitude when it comes to identifying new technologies/techniques/workflows and how they could be used to improve things at Trailmix
Location
Trailmix is currently operating under a hybrid work model - we have 3 days a week (Monday, Thursday & Friday) in person at our brand new studio in Kings X with the remaining 2 days available to work from home.
